Dover Federal Credit Union continues to support Central DE Habitat for Humanity

DOVER, DE (October 15, 2019) — It is no secret that local partnerships make our community stronger, in turn making Central Delaware a great place to live. A great example of a local partnership that strengthens our community is the one held by Central DE Habitat for Humanity and Dover Federal Credit Union. Although this relationship has been in existence for a long time, it has truly been on display over the last 18 months. In this time, Dover Federal Credit Union’s employees have participated in builds, hosted a Habitat Framing Frenzy onsite, sponsored multiple events, and hosted the Habitat Builder’s Dash 5K at their headquarters, all while having a presence on the board and other committees. Most recently, Dover Federal employees presented Central DE Habitat for Humanity with a check for $1,500.00 that was raised through donations from Dover FCU employees which were then matched dollar for dollar by the credit union. When asked about the partnership that these two organizations have, Dover Federal Credit Union’s Director of Marketing and Community Development Tyler Kuhn stated “we are grateful to have the opportunity to be involved with such an impactful non-profit. It means so much that we can give our support to an organization that makes great efforts to help our community and brings hope to those in need of it.”

Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity (CDHFH) was founded in 1990 and is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International which is a non-profit ecumenical housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing from the world.
