Dover Federal Credit Union hosts ground breaking ceremony for new branch in Camden, Delaware

DOVER, DE (August 26, 2019) — On August 15 th , 2019, Dover Federal Credit Union hosted a ground breaking ceremony for their new branch being built in Camden, Delaware. The new facility, located at 499 Walmart Drive, will be Dover Federal’s 8 th branch within the state. State and Federal delegates, elected officials of the town of Camden, Members of the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce, and members of multiple other organizations joined members of the Dover Federal board, executive team, and directors to celebrate this new beginning.

The decision to build this new Dover Federal branch was highly motivated by the growing population and increasing amount of development within the town of Camden, as well as a large quantity of member requests for a branch in the area. The building will feature an innovative design which includes the use of pods opposed to a traditional teller line, allowing staff to perform multiple transactions and services within a single space. With construction now beginning, the Camden Dover Federal Credit Union branch is anticipated to open to the public in the spring of 2020. Rich Mazzio, Dover Federal Credit Union Chief Member Experience Officer, stated “We are extremely excited to join the Camden community, an awesome and welcoming community where many of our members and employees already call home.  This new state of the art branch allows Dover Federal Credit Union to further enhance our core pillars of Culture, Community, Financial Literacy and Legendary Service.  For over a decade we have said we were coming to Camden, as our members have been patiently waiting for us.  Targeted to open in early 2020, we are ready to finally say, “We’re Here!”
