Shelton began her tenure with the Credit Union in December 1983 as Member Service Supervisor. In 1994, she joined the senior leadership team as Vice President of Loan Services and in October of 2013 became the President and CEO.

When asked about her successes as CEO, Shelton deferred. “It is truly a team effort at DuPage Credit Union.” She is proud of how the Credit Union responded to fiscal challenges, particularly during the Great Recession, and how the Credit Union has always tried to help members during difficult times.

Shelton credits the organization’s growth and strong fiscal position to the focus placed on providing value to members through improved product benefits, enhanced digital technologies, and excellent service across channels.

“As I look back, I am filled with gratitude for this incredible journey,” said Shelton. “The experiences, the friendships, and the challenges we faced as an organization have shaped me in ways I could never have imagined.

I want to thank the DuPage Credit Union team for their support, encouragement, and camaraderie over the years. It has been an honor and privilege to work alongside such talented, dedicated individuals.

I will forever cherish the memories, and the lessons learned from this chapter of my life.

As I move forward into this new stage, I am excited for the opportunity to spend time at our Florida home, explore new interests, spend more time with loved ones, and embrace the adventures that lie ahead.”
