Dutch Point Credit Union announces winners of 2018 scholarship
Area scholars excel in classroom and community
WETHERSFIELD, CT (July 2, 2018) — Dutch Point Credit Union, a $300 million community credit union serving over 23,000 members throughout Connecticut is pleased to announce that five scholarship recipients have been selected to receive $1,000 each through the Dorothy J. Sullivan Scholarship program launched in 2007. The scholarship program was created to honor the achievements of Dorothy J. Sullivan, the credit union’s previous President and CEO and first employee, and to address the credit union’s desire to return greater value and provide financial assistance to high school students pursing a college degree. The 2018 scholarship winners include:
Jessica Buslewicz Attending: Smith College
Newington High School
Grace Calla Attending: Cornell University
Newington High School
Simon O’Neil Attending: University of Hartford
Granby Memorial High School
Rachel Raymond Attending: Central CT State University
Bristol Central High School
Katharine Ryan Attending: Syracuse University
Nathan Hale-Ray High School

The scholarships were available to Dutch Point Credit Union members and were awarded based on academic record, leadership qualities and community involvement. This year’s scholarship winners were honored during a reception held at the Wethersfield Main Office on June 6, 2018.
