Elevations Credit Union was officially honored with the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award after winning it in 2020. The award was presented at the Quest for Excellence Conference on April 3-6, 2022. This is the second time the Colorado credit union has received this award, and Elevations is one of only nine organizations in the nation to do so. Hosted by the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program at NIST, the four-day showcase in National Harbor, Maryland honored 2019, 2020 and 2021 Baldrige Award recipients as the ceremony was hosted virtually in years prior due to COVID-19.
Elevations’ Vice President of Enterprise Transformation Genevieve Cavallo also presented at this year’s conference, presenting a session on building organizational resilience using the Baldrige framework. Participants at the conference represent various industries, companies and leaders who are interested in pursuing the Baldrige journey to excellence. The showcase enables participants to learn how award recipients have successfully applied the Baldrige framework at their organizations.
“It may seem there is no perfect time to begin implementing the Baldrige framework, but the time is now,” said Gerry Agnes, President and CEO of Elevations Credit Union. “It builds organizational resiliency and has inspired me to pursue excellence, not perfection.”
The Baldrige Excellence Framework focuses on organizational resilience, innovation, diversity, equity and inclusion and digitization and the fourth industrial revolution. It helps companies innovate and improve while evaluating already existing processes and results. The Quest for Excellence Conference provided a platform for 17 former award recipients like Elevations, the City of Fort Collins and more to share their success stories to participants.
