Elevations Foundation awards $76,000 in scholarships to 32 exceptional Colorado graduates

Elevations Foundation is excited to announce its dedication to our community by awarding $76,000 to 32 outstanding Colorado high school graduates. This year’s scholars embodied true resiliency as they navigated academics during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 scholarship celebration event on May 24 was the first one to be held in-person since the pandemic.

“Increasing access to education is vital to the community. I’m proud that the foundation is helping these outstanding students on a path to reach their education goals,” said Jennifer Hinderliter, the new Executive Director of Elevations Foundation. “Congratulations to all of the 2022 scholarship recipients!”

This year’s recipients come from high schools across the state of Colorado:

All Elevations Foundation scholarship recipients have demonstrated outstanding academic and community engagement. This year’s scholars are attending in-state universities like the University of Colorado Boulder and others are exploring out-of-state universities like Arizona State University, Western Washington University and others.

During the pandemic, these students continued to adapt to new ways of schooling, like virtual learning. They demonstrated constant determination to keep looking forward and further their academics. This class of scholars also shows a heavy interest in environmental sciences and engineering.

Elevations Foundation is proud to continue to invest in the students in Colorado and provide opportunities for higher education. The foundation has awarded $572,950 since its founding in 2010. All scholarships are based on financial need and personal and career goals and range between $500 - $5,000.

“Every year we are so proud to recognize and celebrate the exceptional scholars that are looking to further their education,” said Dennis Paul, Board Chair of Elevations Foundation. “To play a part in making a difference in their future is a special feeling, and this is what our foundation is all about.”

The celebration for this year’s scholarship recipients took place at Elevations Credit Union on May 24, 2022 in Broomfield, Colorado. To learn more about Elevations Foundation, visit elevationscu.com/foundation.
