Enterprise Content Provider Banc Intranets Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary

Banc Intranets, a leading enterprise content management provider, recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary. The Tennessee firm started with just a handful of employees and currently provides a variety of intranet/extranet products in multiple languages to clients in North America.

JOHNSON CITY, TN (May 2, 2013) Enterprise content management solutions provider Banc Intranets LLC recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary, marking an important milestone for the Johnson City, Tenn.-based company.

Reaching the 10-year landmark is a major achievement for the software firm, which started in 2002 with its founder Lynette Anderson and just two programmers. Today, Banc Intranets is an innovative industry leader with an array of software solutions to help organizations manage their information, increase their productivity and lower their costs. The company’s accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. For instance, American Banker Magazine recognized Banc Intranets as one of 10 Technology Companies to Watch.

“We are extremely proud and privileged to have been able to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients’ needs for nearly a decade,” Anderson said. “As we continue to grow our company, we know we have a bright future ahead of us and look forward to seeing what the next 10 years will bring.”

Banc Intranets started from humble beginnings. Anderson—an independent consultant who had worked in bank operations and information technology—launched the company from the East Tennessee State University Innovation Lab with the goal of developing software specifically for the financial community. The Innovation Lab’s business “incubator” provided a supportive environment that propelled Banc Intranets toward success. It wasn’t long before the startup developed its flagship product: BankWorks, a user-friendly intranet that gives employees instant and convenient access to corporate information. Her husband, Mark Anderson—a former head of information technology for a bank, joined the company in 2004. In 2009, Banc Intranets became the first successful firm to “graduate” from the Innovation Lab. It has continued to build on that legacy.

Today, Banc Intranets has sales, implementation, support and several software developers with a combined 90-plus years of banking, technology and business experience. The company has expanded its product line to include DirectorsLink, a popular board portal; BankTrain, a web-based training management system; and disaster-recovery sites, employee hot sites and other custom web sites. “We have stayed competitive by constantly rewriting our software and adding new features and products over the years,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Anderson. “Our secret to success is understanding our clients’ needs and providing outstanding customer support.”

Banc Intranets’ steady growth is a result of its ongoing commitment to integrity, service, quality and excellence. Those principles have served the company well. Over the years, Banc Intranets has implemented enterprise content management solutions for banks, credit unions, and trust companies, as well as health care, pharmaceutical and insurance firms. Its average financial client has more than $1 billion in assets. However, the company’s growing client base also includes other non financial institution clients. Banc Intranets currently serves customers in more than 30 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the Caribbean, delivering solutions in multiple languages.
