Financial Plus Credit Union offering annual scholarships!

FLINT, MI (March 2, 2022) — Financial Plus Credit Union’s annual “You are the Future” Scholarship application period is now open and will award five students with a $1,000 scholarship. High school students graduating in 2022 with a 3.0 GPA or a current full-time college or university student with a 3.0 GPA can apply now until May 6, 2022. The candidate must complete the application with a short essay (500 words or less) on how the candidate will make a positive impact in their community, or already is making an impact in the community.

“This is the first year we are awarding five students with this scholarship, and we are incredibly excited to help relieve any financial burdens and uncertainties that students attending college face. Financial Plus aims to emphasize the importance of financial wellness, and we strongly encourage those in the state of Michigan who are looking to advance their education to submit an application,” remarked Madeline Mason, Public Relations and Social Media Specialist.

To apply for the scholarship, applicants must complete and submit the following; scholarship application, essay, letter of recommendation, and a transcript. Designated scholarship judges at Financial Plus Credit Union will review all scholarship entries and award the scholarship recipients based on attaining all eligibility requirements and contents of essay.
