Firelands FCU donates $3,000 to support local students 

BELLEVUE, OH (September 18, 2025) |

With the 2025-2026 school year underway, Firelands Federal Credit Union (Firelands  FCU) dedicated $3,000 to ensure students are well prepared, supporting local schools and supply  

collections. This year, Firelands FCU contributed $500 to each of the following organizations: 

  • Bellevue: Bellevue High School 
  • Bucyrus: Bucyrus United Methodist Church, Back to School Event 
  • Galion: Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission  
  • Monroeville: Monroeville Local Schools, Teacher Mini Grant  
  • Norwalk: First Presbyterian Church, Stuff the Bus  
  • Sandusky: Victory Temple Soup Kitchen  

These donations have helped provide essential school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks,  

binders, and other necessities, to students in the area.  

"Back-to-school should feel exciting, not overwhelming," said Brett Montague, President/CEO of  

Firelands FCU. "We’re thankful for the schools and organizations helping families prepare for the school  year and are happy to support their efforts."
