First Atlantic FCU announces 2018 scholarship winners

First Atlantic Federal Credit Union is proud to announce its 2018 scholarship winners. This year’s recipients include Cameron Barnes, Rebecca Zaino, Daniel Sullivan, and Taylor Lane.

Cameron Barnes one of the scholarship recipients expressed, “With the help of this grant, some of the pressure will be alleviated, as it will contribute to helping me buy books or help me with accommodating other school-related expenses.”

Taylor Lane, another recipient, said, “I am beyond excited and truly honored to be one of the four recipients!”

On June 5, 2018, four local graduating high school seniors were awarded scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each during First Atlantic’s Annual Meeting. Funds may be applied to tuition, fees, or other costs. Scholarships were awarded based on need, academic achievement, and community involvement.

“We’re continuously proud to support our local community and high school students” said First Atlantic’s President/ CEO John Culp. “The scholarship awards greatly impact students and we value their dedication, motivation, and leadership towards higher education.”

First Atlantic’s Scholarship Program is part of the credit union’s ongoing commitment to education and its communities. The program offers scholarships to qualifying high school seniors that are pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree. Every year, four high school seniors are awarded $1,000.
