On Thursday, October 15, 2020, First Capital celebrated International Credit Union Day with a special event for its members! First Capital management grilled hundreds of hamburgers and hot dogs from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Being COVID-conscious, they also provided members individually wrapped cookies, chips and water. Knowing that a lot of people have been cleaning out their homes during the stay-at-home order earlier this year, First Capital provided a shred truck at the West York branch for members to safely dispose of those old documents. Members also picked up some giveaways and entered to win door prizes.
“We love giving back and going the extra mile for our members,” said Tara Houser, VP of Marketing & Business Development.
During this special day, First Capital also collected donations of food at each branch to support three local food pantries; West York Bulldog Pantry, York Suburban Impact Foundation, and the Red Lion Little Free Food Pantry.
“Our members were so gracious, bringing in so much food,” said Houser. “This will go a long way in helping people during this difficult time.”
The food drive runs through the end of October.
