First Financial Federal Credit Union recently made a $12,500 donation to Carroll County Food Sunday (CCFS), a non-profit organization who has played a critical role serving the food-insecure population within Carroll County since 1982.
Every week, CCFS distributes nutritionally balanced grocery packages that consist of meat, eggs, fruits, vegetables, bread, and milk to over 400 families in the Carroll County community. First Financial’s donation will help purchase food and resources to support their weekly distribution.
“Carroll County Food Sunday is thrilled to have such a significant contribution from First Financial Federal Credit Union,” said CCFS Executive Director Caroline Babylon. “Thanks to this gift, we have Hahn’s hams to distribute to everyone for Easter as well as some additional tilapia and ground beef.”
With a long history of giving back to our members, First Financial strongly believes in the collective power of partnering with vital organizations like CCFS, to bring about positive change in our community. “Serving others is what we are passionate about at First Financial,” said First Financial President/CEO Eric Church. “We are grateful to continue our partnership with CCFS and help support many families in the Carroll County area.”
