Forbes ranks UW Credit Union as Wisconsin’s top-rated credit union

MADISON, WI (August 1, 2018) — UW Credit Union was recognized as Wisconsin’s top-rated credit union in Forbes 2018 America’s Best-In-State Banks and Credit Unions report. More than 25,000 consumers rated financial institutions based on their experience and only those receiving the highest ratings earn the “Best-In-State” title.

The Forbes study participants were asked to rate banks and credit unions on factors such as trust, branch services and financial advice. Customer experiences such as accessibility, digital services and the opportunity to talk to someone in person were included in the ranking criteria, as well as terms and conditions like transparent fees and interest rates.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by Forbes as the top-rated credit union in Wisconsin. UW Credit Union champions members by putting their best interest first,” says President and CEO Paul Kundert. “Our low or no fee services, investment in best-in-class mobile banking technology and mission to improve the financial well-being of our members allows us to provide continuous innovation and exceptional service.” says Kundert. “96% of our members say we meet or exceed their expectations. It’s the loyalty of our members that has helped us to achieve this honor.”

This is the second time that UW Credit Union has been recognized for excellence in member service. UW Credit Union, with locations throughout Wisconsin, was ranked by Consumer Reports as the 17th best financial institution in the country in 2016.

“We provide an outstanding service experience,” says Executive Vice President and Chief Member Solutions Officer Rob Van Nevel. “Our impressive growth and member loyalty is not only a result of our business practices but is also due in part to our award-winning workplace culture. The passion our employees bring to their work helps us deliver service that inspires trust.”
