FORUM Credit Union celebrates National Credit Union Youth Week

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (April 14, 2014) — FORUM Credit Union will be celebrating National Credit Union Youth Week at all FORUM branch locations April 21 through April 26. National Credit Union Youth Week was created by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) in 2001 as an opportunity for credit unions to focus on the financial needs of young people and provide financial literacy education.

By participating in National Credit Union Youth Week, FORUM hopes to continue its commitment to helping kids and teens become financially aware and create good financial habits. FORUM offers a full suite of youth savings and checking accounts. FORUM’s Aware accounts teach kids and teens the importance of spending, saving and sharing their money while rewarding them for making regular deposits. FORUM’s Sprout account  is a special savings account that is designed to help save money for important future expenses. FORUM also offers a student checking account for those 16 to 24 years old that features no monthly service fees and no minimum balance.

This year’s National Credit Union Youth Week theme is “Catch the $ave Wave™.” FORUM’s events will include beach themed giveaways and an enter to win contest. FORUM will deposit $5 into any Aware, Sprout or student checking account that is opened during the week. Eligible opened accounts will also receive a free gift while supplies last and be entered to win a $100 deposit.

More information on the week’s events and FORUM’s youth accounts can be found at www.forumcu.com/youthweek.
