Geezeo announces sponsorship of Charlottesville Women in Technology

Fintech company is committed to elevating the experience of women in technology through growing their professional networks and developing new skills.

Geezeo, a leader in Fintech and data-driven solutions for financial institutions, is excited to announce their sponsorship of Charlottesville Women in Technology (CWIT), a non-profit committed to supporting women in technology through networking opportunities and education.

Geezeo will be a 2019 Champion Sponsor supporting CWIT’s monthly education sessions and programs, held in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia. This sponsorship also supports funding for Tech-Girls, including Girls’ Geek Days on Saturdays for elementary school-aged girls, Tech-Girls after-school programs for middle schoolers, and events like Bio-Med Tech-Girls, Speed Mentoring, and Hackathons geared toward high school girls.

Trae Turner, Marketing Director at Geezeo and CWIT Board Member along with Amy Hibbard, Communications Director at Geezeo recently attended the CWIT Switch On Summit 2018, a conference dedicated to supporting women in technology in the Charlottesville area. This two-part conference was focused on igniting women’s professional tech network while providing opportunities for learning, collaborating, and networking with local women and tech community leaders.

“Supporting tech careers for women and tech interests for girls is essential to providing equal access to rewarding and lucrative careers,” said Turner. “It’s also important when you consider what’s lost when there’s a lack of diversity in the creative technical process. Geezeo is passionate about diversity and this collaboration with CWIT will allow us to continue to drive diversity, attract, develop, and retain talent from all walks of life.”
