Georgia United Credit Union Invites UGA Students to Apply for Annual UGA Scholarship Drawing

ATHENS, GA (June 27, 2013) Georgia United Credit Union is excited to announce that it’s time to apply for their 2013 University of Georgia $2,500 Scholarship drawing. Announced each year during new student orientations and open to all registered UGA students for fall semester, it’s not too early to enter Georgia United’s Annual UGA scholarship drawing. Entries are accepted throughout the summer at either of Georgia United Credit Union’s two Athens branch locations at either 190 Gaines School Road Branch in East Athens or 1710 S. Lumpkin Street Branch at Five Points. Deadline to apply is August 31.

Amelia Ledford, a senior student majoring in Education at UGA, (shown above with Georgia United’s Bill Bland) was selected at random from all submitted entries as last year’s scholarship winner. But, this year, it could be you!

Georgia United Credit Union is the community credit union that serves the faculty, staff, students and alumni of the University of Georgia.  Georgia United offers many free financial services for students – like mobile banking, Swift Deposit with your smart phone, student checking and more. This is the seventh year that Georgia United has offered a scholarship drawing as part of “back to school” activities at UGA.
