Gerber Federal Credit Union receives Wellness Award

FREMONT, MI (April 14, 2014) —  Gerber Federal Credit Union (Gerber FCU) announced today it has received the Senior Leadership Pillar Award for outstanding vision and commitment to a healthy, engaged, and productive workforce. The award was based on Gerber FCU’s ability to connect their wellness vision to their business strategy while making a commitment to a healthy culture, providing adequate resources, engaging in a visible way, and having the courage to make and deliver on these commitments.

Gerber Federal Credit Union’s wellness program is administered by Ottawa Kent and WellSafe Coaches located in Jenison, MI and is based on the 5 Pillars of Health and Wellness developed by Dee W. Eddington, PH.D. at the University of Michigan Health Management Research Center. The 5 Pillars are: Senior Leadership, Operations Leadership, Self-Leadership, Reward Positive Actions, and Quality Assurance.
