Golden 1 welcomes two new executives

SACRAMENTO, CA (May 18, 2015) — Golden 1 Credit Union announced today it has hired Dustin Luton as its new Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer and Vicki Brackett as Vice President, Member Service Contact Center, bringing years of deep financial and customer service expertise to the credit union’s leadership team.

“At Golden 1, we are dedicated to providing the best-in-class financial products and services for our members and superior service to the communities we serve,” said Donna Bland, President and CEO of Golden 1. “Both Dustin and Vicki bring extensive leadership skill and expertise that will help keep us strong and ensure we can continue to grow and meet the needs of our members and communities.”

Luton comes to Golden 1 with a background in financial and strategic leadership. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in business economics. In his most recent role as President and CEO of Simplicity Bank, Luton helped transform the bank from a select employee group (SEG) based institution to a community bank by rebranding the institution, and expanding both its product and service opportunities. Simplicity Bank was recently acquired by HomeStreet Bank and he successfully led the organization through this merger process.

“I’m proud to join Golden 1 and be a part of one of the nation’s largest credit unions, with such a strong history in California, and will focus on advancing Golden 1’s mission, growth and continued financial strength,” Luton said. “I look forward to working with the Golden 1 team as we lead the company, and our members, toward a bright and successful future.”

Brackett brings senior leadership experience with contact centers spanning multiple industries including higher education, career placement, consumer electronics and consumer services. Most recently, she served as the Director of Contact Center at a Fortune 500 Company, leading a workforce of more than 2,000 employees. At Golden 1, Brackett’s responsibilities will include leading the production, service and support elements of the credit union’s contact-based delivery channel.

“I’m excited to join a team that is committed to providing positive experiences for our membership,” Brackett said. “In this role, I look forward to enhancing our ability to provide members with exceptional service, as well as convenient access to education and consultation.”

Both Luton and Brackett will sit in Golden 1’s corporate office in Sacramento.
