Credit Unions Kids at Heart is a collaborative charitable organization of the credit union community throughout New England. Together, they raise money for research aimed at the prevention, treatment, and, one day, cure of pediatric neurological disorders. Their fields of interest are pediatric epilepsy and seizure disorders, Moyamoya disease, cerebral palsy, and pediatric brain cancer. To learn more visit www.cukidsatheart.org.
Holso is a first-time runner with CU Kids at Heart and has been partnered with Jack Ciaccio. They are sponsored by Granite State Credit Union.
Team fundraising goes directly to medical research and clinical trials, performed at Boston Children’s Hospital and in partnership with their research affiliates. Boston Children’s Hospital has led the way in superior innovations in treatment and care since their founding 155 years ago.
Holso says, “I am running this year because I firmly believe in the credit union philosophy of people helping people. When there are opportunities to help bring awareness and direct funding to benefit research and children who are facing extremely difficult situations, we should pull together as a community.”
