Greater Nevada Credit Union announces new University Branch Manager

Erika Mendoza has been named the new branch manager of Greater Nevada Credit Union’s (GNCU) University branch, slated to open later this summer.

Mendoza brings more than 10 years of banking experience to her role at GNCU, including previous experience as a branch manager and service manager.  She also served as a quality assurance analyst which entailed completing internal operational control reviews in the branch and at business banking locations.

After joining GNCU in August 2017, Mendoza has assisted with managing several branch locations.  She also has conducted financial education courses at the Boys and Girls Club, UNR Athletics, and University of Nevada, Reno School of Business.  In addition, she has worked to implement the company’s Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) which provide access to a GNCU member service representative via video chat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

“I’m looking forward to serving the students, faculty, staff, and nearby residents and businesses at our new University branch,” said Mendoza. “GNCU has a great partnership with the University, such as the fundraising we do for the Wolf Pack Marching Band and our sponsorship of Nevada Money Mentors.”

The new University branch will be located at 1385 North Virginia Street inside the Towers at Pink Hill student housing building. For more information about Greater Nevada Credit Union, open to everyone in Nevada, please visit gncu.org or call (775) 882-2060.
