Greg Michlig Named New Jersey Credit Union League President/CEO

HIGHTSTOWN, NJ (May 3, 2013) The New Jersey Credit Union League announced that Greg Michlig has been named the President/CEO of the New Jersey Credit Union League. Michlig will join the League on May 20, 2013.

Michlig has a strong background in the credit union industry and related financial services business. He has been involved with credit unions across the country since 1995, when he first went to work at the Credit Union Executives Society.

“Greg is widely known in the industry and has a long list of associates throughout the country, which will help him to continue to move the League forward as a respected resource. He has a proven track record of initiating and cultivating relationships that will serve him well as he meets with our credit union leadership.  His energy, drive and passion for the industry will be evident from the moment you meet him and he is focused on working with New Jersey’s credit unions to help make all of them more successful. He is a strong believer in communicating with members and understanding their needs so that the League can provide the services necessary to help our members succeed. He also has a strong track record of initiating and embracing innovation. We look forward to him serving as the League president and CEO,” said NJCUL Chairman Lou Vetere.

It has been a great pleasure working with the League board of directors throughout this process and I am eager to begin meeting with the credit union community throughout the Garden State,” said Michlig of his appointment as CEO.

Greg worked for CUES from 1995 to 1999, when left to work for Pemco Technology Services as a senior account executive. He remained at Pemco until 2008 when he returned to CUES. Most recently he held the position of Senior Director of Member Relations since August 2011.
