Grow Financial Federal Credit Union Supports the Florida Strawberry Festival

Wednesday, March 6 is American Heroes Day

TAMPA, FL (February 27, 2013) Grow Financial, one of the leading Credit Unions in the nation, will be a sponsor of American Heroes Day, taking place at the Florida Strawberry Festival on Wednesday, March 6.

American Heroes Day is dedicated to all of the active reserve, retired military, veterans, law enforcement and first responders.  When the heroes show their valid ID, they will be admitted into the Florida Strawberry Festival for free.

“We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to sponsor Heroes Day at the Florida Strawberry Festival”, says Allen Milliron, Director of Corporate Sponsorships.  “It is a perfect tie-in for Grow Financial since we have a strong commitment to the military.  Since 2007, when we established the Friends of Military Families, LLC, a foundation which raises funds for charities and organizations providing assistance to active-duty members of the military and their dependents, we have donated a total of more than $164,000 to students from military families; care packages for veterans stationed overseas; and other similar programs.”

Grow Financial will have a tent set up to distribute Grow tote bags, answer questions about the Credit Union and greet the heroes from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
