Grow Financial Participates in St. Petersburg Pride Festival

Festival to be held on Saturday, June 29

TAMPA, FL (June 24, 2013) Grow Financial, one of the leading Credit Unions in the nation is once again proud to participate in the St. Petersburg Pride Festival, the largest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender celebration in the state of Florida for the third year in a row on June 29.

Employees of Grow Financial will be working a booth along the parade route, as well as driving two Grow vehicles in the parade.  Guests of the parade can visit the Grow booth to receive items such as free membership vouchers, green beads and fans to help festival goers cool off during the parade.

Throughout the year, the Diversity Committee at Grow Financial hosts various events that celebrate diversity among its employees such as catered culture lunch events featuring various cuisines from Vietnamese to Caribbean, women of Grow lecture series and events like the St. Petersburg Pride Festival and charity bingo events at Hamburger Mary’s Restaurant that support the gay and lesbian community.

About the St. Pete Pride Festival
Held on the last Saturday of June, the St. Petersburg Pride Festival commemorates the birth of the gay rights movement.  Beginning eleven years ago with a few thousand participants and a couple of city blocks, the St. Petersburg Pride Festival is now one of the largest GLBT community celebrations in the nation, spanning eight blocks and attracting international attention.  Last year’s festival drew more than 80,000 participants.
