GTE Financial appoints Dan Gilbert as president of Home Loan Alliance

TAMPA, FL (November 4, 2013) — GTE Financial, one of Florida’s largest credit unions, continues to grow its home loan processing CUSO, Home Loan Alliance (HLA), and has appointed Daniel Gilbert as its President as of October 28, 2013.

“Dan’s extensive experience in home loan lending will help guide HLA as we expand our wholesale network, manage the implications of the Dodd-Frank Act, and enter into the fulfillment arena for other credit unions,” says Aaron Bresko, chief lending officer and senior vice president of GTE Financial. “He is a proven team builder and his steady hand approach and caring demeanor make him the right leader to take HLA to the next level.”

Gilbert has over 35 years of experience in the finance and mortgage industries.  Prior to joining HLA, Gilbert was president of Prime Alliance Solutions where his formulations and implementations of key strategies led to one of the most efficient mortgage operation, processing and secondary market systems for credit unions, banks and other financial institutions.

Gilbert also held the position of executive vice president of home loans and executive vice president of commercial banking for Washington Mutual in Seattle, and President of Washington Mutual Finance in Tampa. In addition, he has over 19 years experience with both domestic and international financial service businesses with Household International.
