Hanscom FCU congratulates JROTC Drill Team on national recognition
HANSCOM AFB, MA (March 30, 2018) — Hanscom Federal Credit Union congratulates the cadets on Lowell High School’s Air Force Junior ROTC Red Raider Drill Team for their outstanding performance at the Air Force JROTC Drill Nationals, which were held on March 24 in Dayton, OH.
The team competed in the Armed division and Unarmed division. Each division consisted of four events: Inspection, Regulation Drill, Exhibition Drill, and Color Guard. Lowell High School’s Armed team place first and were named National Champions, while the Unarmed team placed third overall.
Hanscom FCU donated $5,000 to help cover the cadets’ travel expenses to Dayton. This is the tenth year that the credit union has supported the Lowell High School team at the Nationals.
“We’re extremely proud of these cadets and their outstanding performance,” said Hanscom FCU Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta. “This event draws teams from the widest geographic area of the United States. They competed with three dozen other Air Force JROTC teams, so it’s really quite an achievement to do as well as they did this weekend.”
