Hiway Credit Union Foundation Second Annual Curling Fundraising Event raises more than $62,000

ST. PAUL, MN (November 27, 2019) — Hiway Credit Union Foundation, an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization established by Hiway Federal Credit Union® (Hiway), raised more than $62,000 at the Second Annual Curling Fundraising Event.

The event was held at the St. Paul Curling Club on November 7, 2019. Over 100 business partners, Minnesota credit union representatives and educators attended the event to enjoy a curling competition, lunch buffet, raffle and silent auction. Profits from the event benefit financial literacy for underserved youth in the community.

“Our Foundation is committed to strengthening the communities we serve,” said Christine Cordell, Hiway Senior Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness and Hiway Credit Union Foundation Board Chair. “This event allows us to assist underserved youth through student scholarships, teacher grants and program funding. We are grateful for all those who made this event a success and supported our commitment to our mission: To passionately provide resources to enhance the overall wellness of our community.”
