Horizon Credit Union members and employees teamed up to raise $13,962 for the annual Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) campaign.
All 29 branches participated in fundraising efforts, through paper balloon donations in-branch and internal campaigns such as weekly BINGO prizes and dress-up Community Spirit Days— where employees can donate $5 or more to wear jeans and logowear, or dress up as their favorite sports team, as their boss, at the beach and more.
Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) is a nonprofit collaboration of credit unions working together in fundraising activities to benefit 170 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the country. One hundred of all proceeds are donated to local CMN Hospitals.
Of the proceeds raised, $7,910 was donated to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Spokane, WA, $4,706 was donated to St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Boise, ID and $1,346 was donated to Shodair Children’s Hospital in Helena, MT.
CMN Hospitals treat millions of children every year; in fact, it is the world’s largest children’s charity. Each year, CMN Hospitals provide $3.4 billion in charitycare, supporting cutting-edge, life-saving research and developing new, innovative technology which eases pain and lengthens lives.
