Huge crowds expected at SDCCU Stadium for the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl
The University of Iowa Hawkeyes and USC Trojans meet at SDCCU® Stadium on December 27
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 23, 2019) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), is the proud title sponsor of the 42nd annual San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl. Kickoff for the game is at SDCCU Stadium in San Diego at 5:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2019. The game will be broadcast live before a nationwide audience on FS1. The bowl game will match the No. 16 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes against the No. 22 ranked USC Trojans. This year marks the Holiday Bowl’s third straight pairing of teams from the Pac-12 and Big Ten conferences that are ranked nationally in the top 25.
Iowa finished the regular season 9-3. This will be the Hawkeyes fourth appearance in the Holiday Bowl with their last appearance in 1991 against BYU which ended in a 13-13 tie. The team has an all time-bowl record of 16-15-1. The team is led by 21-year veteran Head Coach Kirk Ferentz.
USC completed the regular season 8-4. This is the Trojans third time playing in the Holiday Bowl with their last game in 2015 when they lost 23-21 to Wisconsin. Head Coach Clay Helton has been a coach with the Trojans since 2010, and named Head Coach in 2015. The Trojans have an overall bowl game record of 34-8.
USC has a 7-2 record all-time versus Iowa, last meeting in 2002 with USC winning 38-17.

Tickets for the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl range from $35 to $175. Family 4-packs are also available for $240 and include (4) loge level tickets, and (4) hot dogs and sodas. Biz Kid$ has been named the beneficiary of the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl, which means $1 from each ticket sold to this year’s game will be donated to help teach kids about money and business. Launched in 2008 in partnership with the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF), Biz Kid$ is an award-winning comprehensive financial literacy program focused on teaching kids how to use credit wisely and the importance of saving, budgeting, investing and giving back to their communities.
