Hughes Federal Credit Union is proud to announce it has been recognized with two prestigious honors at the Greater Vail Area Chamber of Commerce’s (GVACC) inaugural Golden Spike Celebration.
The event, held September 18 at Desert Diamond Casino, celebrated more than one hundred businesses and individuals who drive economic growth and community impact across the southeast region of Southern Arizona.
Elisa Ross, vice president of Marketing and Sales, was honored with the Pullman Award for Underrepresented Leaders, celebrating her exceptional leadership and meaningful contributions to the community.
In addition, Hughes was presented with the Boxcar Capital Award for Financial Services, honoring the credit union’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of members throughout the region.
“We are grateful to the Greater Vail Chamber for recognizing us,” said Ross. “Our goal is to continue to expand access, foster inclusion and ensure that financial services support growth for everyone in our community.”
The Golden Spike Celebration highlighted the southeast region’s rich history and enduring spirit of entrepreneurship, inspired by Vail’s railroad legacy.
