ILWU Credit Union Announces New President/Chief Executive Officer

WILMINGTON, CA (August 31, 2013) — ILWU Credit Union (ILWUCU) is excited to announce the selection of Ralph Ruiz as the organization’s new President/Chief Executive Officer.

Ralph Ruiz’s career has 23 years of extensive financial services industry experience with more than 15 years at a senior executive level. He most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of SkyOne Federal Credit Union in Los Angeles, California. While there he was instrumental in reorganizing the operations area to create greater efficiency, reduce expenses and improve overall performance and service delivery. He also successfully transformed the Member Investment Services program and led two credit union mergers. Prior to this position, Ruiz held the position of VP, Marketing & Technology at FAA First Federal Credit Union (now SkyOne) where he was responsible for product development and promotion, all member communication, technology strategy, data integrity, e-commerce, brand and image, and membership growth. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Loyola Marymount University.
