Inspire FCU announces two new hires to management team

BRISTOL, PA (April 20, 2015) — Inspire Federal Credit Union, a community chartered credit union serving all of Bucks County, PA announced two new additions to the company’s management team.

Karen Walter was appointed to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Lou Hyjurick joins the credit union to fill the role of Director Information Technology.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Karen and Lou to the Inspire team,” says Jim Merrill, Inspire FCU’s President and CEO. “Their broad experience and industry knowledge will help support Inspires growth initiatives.

In her role of Chief Operations Officer, Karen Walter will plan and direct Inspires operational policies, objectives, and initiatives. Additionally, she will also be in charge of lending, sales initiatives and branch development. Karen Walter comes to Inspire with over 18 years of leadership experience, including serving as Executive Vice President at First National Bank of Chester County, Director of Sales at Susquehanna Patriot Bank, and Regional Sales Manager at Sovereign Bank.

Leading the organization’s IT department, Lou Hyjurick will be responsible for the execution of all IT functions at Inspire. Hyjurick has more than 28 years of experience in the information technology field. Before joining Inspire, he was the Service Manager of Lexicon International, specializing in IT consulting and data protection. He also held a leadership role at Bell Atlantic for 18 years.
