Inspire Federal Credit Union announces finalists for Bucks County Teacher of the Year

The Bucks County community has chosen their three finalists for Bucks County Teacher of the Year

BRISTOL, PA (February 18, 2015) — They hail from Bucks County, PA and they educate children and empower them to reach their fullest potential in life. They are the three finalists for the 2015 Bucks County Teacher of the Year Award, presented by Inspire Federal Credit Union and the Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22. On April 9, 2015, at Inspire’s Annual Meeting, one of them will be named the 2015 Bucks County Teacher of the Year, an honor that has been bestowed upon a selected number of inspired educators for many years in Bucks County.

“There aren’t too many people that can change the life of a student like an educator can do,” said Hilary A. Reed, the Senior Vice President and Chief Relationship Officer of Inspire FCU. “These three teachers, among many other teachers in this county, have successfully accepted the educational challenges inside a classroom, and their impact has extended far beyond the walls of a school.”

Over 18,000 votes were cast among the Bucks community, shattering every previous record, and we are extremely proud and excited to announce the finalists! The three finalists are:
  • Matthew Groden – Teaches 9th-12th grade Math at Pennsbury High School East in Levittown, PA
  • Amanda Dicks – Teaches 10th-12th grade History/Gov. at CB East High School in Doylestown, PA
  • Stephani Thomas – Teaches 1st-5th grade Art at Pine Run Elementary in New Britain, PA
From here, a committee will evaluate and judge all three finalist submissions and determine the winner. The winner will receive $1,000 and an addition $1,000 donated to their school. The two runner-ups will both receive a $200 VISA Gift Card. Visit InspireFCU.org for more award and finalist information.
