Isaac Johnson joins TDECU as Vice President, Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel

(May 14, 2015) — TDECU has welcomed Isaac Johnson to the credit union as its new Vice President, Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel.

Johnson has 23 years of legal and financial experience and has worked for some of Houston’s largest banks and law firms including Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Winstead PC and Thompson & Knight, LLP. Additionally, he proudly served his country in the armed forces and is currently a Brigade Commander, Colonel in the United States Army Reserve.

In his role as TDECU’s Vice President, Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel, Johnson will advise the credit union’s executive leadership and Board of Director on all legal matters. He will also develop and carry out strategic plans to implement a proactive and collaborative approach to complying with all legal regulations, policies and procedures necessary for conducting business at the credit union on a daily basis.

Johnson holds a BA of Business Administration from Mississippi State University, an MA of Business Administration from Jackson State University, and Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law as well as a Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.
