Everybody wins at “A Day at the Races” – sponsors, donors and most important of all, the families who share the dream of home ownership in Hillsborough County. This fun and exciting fund-raiser benefits the REALTORS® Care Foundation, the charitable foundation of the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors, Inc., which directs programs to support community development, disaster relief, scholarships and affordable housing assistance throughout Hillsborough County.
Last year’s inaugural “Day at the Races” raised more than $17,500 and this year’s event promises to be even more successful. Major sponsors include Homes by WestBay and Grow Financial Federal Credit Union, as well as many other businesses representing the local real estate community. All participating sponsors will set up their displays under a white tent at the north end of the main building of Tampa Bay Downs. At this family-friendly event, guests can enter to win a fantastic selection of door prizes and enjoy the slate of races scheduled for the afternoon, including the “REALTORS Care Classic.” Admission and parking are free, and food and refreshments will be available. Come join us for a great time in support of a good cause, and help strengthen the foundation of our communities.

About the REALTORS® Care Foundation of GTAR
This charitable foundation provides assistance for qualified families residing in Hillsborough County, FL. RCF established four separate programs that reach out to benefit individual families and Hillsborough County as a whole. The Home Buyers Grant Program provides down payment assistance to select, qualified buyers. The Disaster Relief Program facilitates the delivery of donated goods and services to support relief efforts in the event of a disaster. The Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to select students who are pursuing higher education in a real-estate related field. In the Community Development area, RCF supports community development in Hillsborough County by providing funds to assist in the construction of affordable housing.
