Cosgrove’s leadership as Chief Talent Officer has transformed Affinity Plus into an employer of choice

ST PAUL, MN (April 15, 2022) — Julie Cosgrove, Chief Talent Officer for Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union (Affinity Plus) was announced as one of the 2022 Women in Business honorees by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal is proud to announce the Women in Business honorees, celebrating the 25th year of recognizing some of the Twin Cities top female business and community leaders.

Fifty-one individuals, plus a Career Achievement winner, will receive this year’s award because of their outstanding professional achievements, leadership qualities and contributions to the broader Twin Cities community. They represent a wide swath of industries and include entrepreneurs growing their businesses, high-level executives at global corporations, and nonprofit and government leaders.

“We have built a very strong and successful organization at Affinity Plus and Julie has been paramount to this success,” said Dave Larson, President and CEO of Affinity Plus. “She is a talented and dedicated leader who continues to be a phenomenal resource to the entire organization and always has our employee’s best interest at heart. I feel very fortunate to work alongside Julie. We are so proud of her and congratulate her on this well-deserved award.”

All of the honorees will be featured in the May 20 Women in Business special publication, and celebrated during an awards event and expo that same day at Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot.

Cosgrove oversees an HR function focusing on the performance, development, engagement and retention of employees. She also leads the Learning & Development team that provides training and education across the organization. In September of 2015, Cosgrove returned to Affinity Plus, having previously worked for the credit union from 2000-2012 and established herself as a prominent leader in a variety of capacities.

In addition to her Affinity Plus responsibilities, Cosgrove serves on the Callahan and Associates Board of Directors and previously served on the District 196 Foundation Board of Directors, serving the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district.
