Keeping it Local and Authentic

SPOKANE, WA (July 9, 2013) Global is partnering with Spokane’s South Perry Farmers’ Market as one of their 2013 signature giving projects donating $10,000 to the local market-a venue comprised of farmers, artists and producers of artisan foods and goods.

This collaboration will support, cultivate and celebrate the growth of small, local businesses in the community. Together Global and South Perry Market aim to enrich the environment by investing in a culture that provides accessible, affordable and wholesome foods and goods.

Through this partnership a program has been developed to provide both financial and philanthropic resources to help the Market and surrounding community thrive. The program consists of the following six major components: vendor investment, community engagement, customer loyalty, friends of the market, organizational development and social media development.

Vendor investment, organizational development and social media development are all intended to increase the market’s awareness, functionality and visibility. Community engagement, customer loyalty and friends of the market aim to give back to the community through charitable donations, family activities and great service.

With Global’s rebrand in February, the credit union has streamlined their community giving initiative to focus on supporting select charitable causes, local artists, small businesses and military organizations.

Global is thrilled to have the opportunity to work closely with South Perry Market, an organization established to celebrate neighborhood unity, small business development and natural goods and foods.
