Lake Michigan Credit Union promotes Jenny Wagner to Mortgage Loan Originator
GRAND RAPIDS, MI (March 15, 2018) — Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is pleased to welcome Jennifer Wagner to the mortgage loan origination team of LMCU’s 68th Street-Byron Center and Knapp Corner branches. Wagner’s new position is a promotion from her previous position as a LMCU mortgage training consultant.
Wagner is looking forward to her new career challenge. “I have a unique technical skill-set that translates nicely to a lending environment. My combination of underwriting, teaching and training backgrounds should allow a seamless transition to my new mortgage origination role. I am eager to serve LMCU’s members and offer them a smooth mortgage process.”

She has held roles in underwriting, mortgage operations and sales training over the past 20 years. Wagner graduated from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, MI with a bachelor’s degree in social science. She was formerly a residential mortgage underwriter working with CommonPoint Mortgage, Conseco Finance, Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation (MGIC) and First Magnus, among others. Sandwiched between her underwriting and mortgage training positions, Wagner was a Pre-K and kindergarten educator for Saint Lucie County Florida Schools.
Wagner is a member of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association (MMLA), the Women’s Council of Realtors (WRC) and the American Mortgage Underwriters Group. She is an active volunteer in the Forest Hills Eastern school district and an frequent fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), and American Diabetes Association.
