On Friday, December 14, 2018, First Capital Federal Credit Union’s VP of Marketing Tara Houser and Community Engagement Officer, Lisa Barshinger; presented a check for $475.00 to Leg Up Farm.
The money was raised through our First Cap Gives Back program. We selected four charities to support, one per quarter. And, Leg Up Farm was chosen as the 4th Quarter charity. To raise money, staff sold soft pretzels to members at all our branches. Employees also paid $5.00 to wear jeans on a specific day. In all, First Capital raised $475.00 for Leg Up Farm. This is in addition to being a sponsor to Leg Up Farm’s Farm En Blanc event this past May.
“We have always enjoyed working with Leg Up Farm. Over the years, staff have taken part in work days at the Farm, volunteered for the Fall Fest, and helped build the playground,” said Tara Houser, Vice President of Marketing.
And, thanks to Gannon, a Leg Up Farm student, who helped us present the check.
