Local Executive Highlighted for Community Service Efforts

Keystone Community Services Lauds TopLine’s Vicki Erickson for Supporting Drives, Donations — and Improving Lives

MAPLE GROVE, MN (April 24, 2013) Vicki Roscoe Erickson, assistant vice-president of marketing at TopLine Federal Credit Union, has been recognized by Keystone Community Services for her volunteer services — including stuffing backpacks for its School Supply Drive and wrapping presents for its Gifts of Hope program. Erickson also worked with Keystone to provide important financial literacy tools to its food shelf clients, including seminars on managing personal finances like household budgeting and strategies on how to reduce debt.

Keystone is a volunteer-based community services organization in St. Paul dedicated to strengthening the capacity of families and individuals.  TopLine has a strong commitment to the communities where its members live and work, and recognizes the collective interest of helping people in its communities succeed. The credit union does this with corporate support of organizations like Keystone, as well as by fostering an environment where employees and members are encouraged to join in support of community initiatives.

“TopLine’s engagement with Keystone is exemplary,” said Margo Kemp Johnson, Director of Community Relations at Keystone Community Services. “We’re grateful for Vicki Erickson’s meaningful personal involvement and expertise. Thanks to her hours of service via TopLine’s role as a Keystone Business Partner, we’ve been able to impact many more people’s lives for the better. It’s a perfect example of how we can provide customized volunteer opportunities for Keystone Business Partners like Vicki and TopLine.”

“Through our relationship with Keystone, Vicki has had the chance to bring her own expertise to Keystone stakeholders, helping the organization serve our neighborhood’s crucial needs and challenges,” said Harry Carter, President and CEO of TopLine Federal Credit Union. “We’re proud to both sponsor and volunteer for Keystone initiatives to help support our community. And I encourage other businesses and individuals to learn more about how they can partner with Keystone.”

A Keystone Business Partner since January 2012, TopLine’s involvement with Keystone has included:

  • Driving food donations to support National Food Shelf Month
  • Sponsoring the Volunteers of the Year awards for Keystone’s annual Volunteer Luncheon
  • Back-to-School donations and volunteer time filling backpacks
  • Donations to the “Give-to-the-Max” program, raising funds for schools and nonprofits
  • Holiday toy drive donations and volunteer time wrapping gifts
