LSCU & Affiliates Promote Ross and Gray to Key Positions

BIRMINGHAM, AL/TALLAHASSEE, FL (July 18, 2013) — The League of Southeastern Credit Unions and Affiliates (LSCU) announces the promotions of Jared Ross to senior vice president of Association Services and Teresa Gray to senior director of education. The promotions mean expanded roles for both Ross and Gray, while maintaining continuity for the LSCU & Affiliates.

“By promoting Jared and Teresa, it shows the level of talent we have at the League,” said LSCU & Affiliates President/CEO Patrick La Pine. “Any time you can promote from within is a positive, but being able to continue to provide our credit unions the level of service they have to come to expect without missing a beat is important. Our credit unions know and respect Jared and Teresa and these promotions say as much about them as it does about the League.”

In his new role, Ross, who has been with the LSCU & Affiliates since 2011, will oversee all of Association Services with Communications, Cooperative Initiatives, Education, Governmental Affairs and the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation reporting to him. Ross was hired as the Florida Director of Legislative Affairs to concentrate on legislative advocacy in Tallahassee and Washington, D.C. In July of 2012, he was promoted to vice president of governmental affairs overseeing the entire department and coordinating legislative advocacy for credit unions in Montgomery, Tallahassee and Washington, D.C. Ross has more than 10 years’ experience as a lobbyist.

Gray began her career with the Alabama Credit Union League in 1972. She has served in a variety of roles including executive assistant to the president and director of events. She is the liaison to the Credit Union Managers Association of Alabama where she is in charge of planning the annual meeting and all of the educational sessions. Gray, who will report to Jared Ross, will direct the Education department which includes two event planners and a support specialist.

Ross and Gray will officially begin their duties on August 5.

The League of Southeastern Credit Unions represents 285 credit unions in Alabama and Florida with a combined total of $64 billion in assets and more than 6.5 million members.
