Maria Karstedt joins Credit Union Story as Production Artist/Storyteller

Credit Union Story, a marketing agency specializing in credit union advertising, recently announced the addition of Maria Karstedt as Production Artist/Storyteller. Karstedt’s responsibilities will include all aspects of creative, including research, concept development, scriptwriting, copywriting, and campaign execution. She brings both B2B and B2C credit union marketing experience to the Credit Union Story team.

Prior to joining Credit Union Story, Karstedt worked as a Marketing Specialist at Credit Union National Association (CUNA). She also served as a facilitator for Filene’s Crashers Program, training and mentoring groups of young professionals on-site at America’s Credit Union Conferences and the 2018 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference.

“I am so excited to be joining Credit Union Story,” said Karstedt. “Thanks to CUNA and Filene, I have had many, many opportunities to meet and network with credit union professionals from all around the country. That experience has not only given me insight into the industry from a marketing and administrative perspective, but it has also heightened my passion for the movement. It has shown me the power of collaboration. I look forward to helping Credit Union Story develop marketing strategies that grow credit union membership, raise awareness of credit union product/service offerings, and further the credit union people-helping-people mission.”

Karstedt graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BA in Communications and a minor in Journalism, Advertising and Media Studies.
