Marine Credit Union awards college scholarships to local students

Last month, Marine Credit Union awarded seven $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors and current college students to be used for post-secondary education during the 2018-2019 academic year.

2. Alaryana Lipke-Randle, Columbus WI, Viterbo University
3. Jayden Sawyer, Fond du Lac, WI, University of Wisconsin – La Crosse
4. Michael Schaefer, Oakfield, WI, University of Wisconsin – Madison
5. Taylor Skroski, Oshkosh, WI, University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh
6. Brandi Voigt, Fond du Lac, WI, University of Wisconsin – Fond du Lac
7. Maria Carr, La Crosse, WI, Florida Institute of Technology

Marine has given out more than $100,000 in scholarships to students over 20 years. Marine is committed to serving our members, investing in our communities and our people. Marine will begin accepting applications for the 2019 scholarships in November 2018. Scholarships are available to all Marine members and their children. Applications are reviewed by an independent committee comprised of non-staff members from a variety of Marine’s districts.

The Marine Credit Union Foundation sponsored an additional scholarship through the La Crosse Tribune’s Extra Effort A+ Achiever program. The recipient is Lupita Mendoza from Brookwood High School. She will be attending Western Technical College in the fall.
