McGlathery steps up to STCU Director role

SPOKANE, WA (May 15, 2018) — STCU has promoted a longtime leader to become its director of community relations. The credit union also has hired two home loan sales managers along with its first community engagement officer serving the Tri-Cities.

STCU, which has 21 branch locations throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho, plans to open three branches in the Tri-Cities. The first is slated to open in Kennewick in fall 2018.

  • Traci McGlathery is the new director of community relations at STCU, where she leads its financial-education, philanthropic and business-development efforts. McGlathery and her team provide free financial education to thousands of children and adults throughout the region while also building community partnerships and raising awareness of credit union issues among government leaders. McGlathery, who joined STCU in 2011 as community relations manager, is a graduate of Columbia University.
  • Spokane-based Home Loan Sales Manager Trina Murphy leads a team of home loan officers serving residents throughout the Inland Northwest. Murphy, a graduate of Washington State University, has more than two decades of lending experience, most recently with Guild Mortgage in Missoula.
  • Tri-Cities-based Home Loan Sales Manager Jennifer Cunnington will lead a team of home loan officers serving members in Kennewick, Pasco and Richland. Cunnington, a graduate of Marylhurst University in Oregon, previously worked from Richland in sales-force training and development with Stearns Lending.

Community Engagement Officer Elizabeth Burtner works to build partnerships and plan STCU events in the Tri-Cities. Burtner, who earned degrees from Columbia Basin College and Washington State University Tri-Cities, most recently worked in branding and communications with Kennewick-based FDM Development.
