Members 1st Credit Union promotes new CEO

REDDING, CA (February 24, 2015) — Members 1st Credit Union announced this week that Teri Vanderpol has been selected as the organization’s next chief executive officer.

Vanderpol, who has served as chief financial officer since 2001, will step into the top leadership role in 2016 when CEO Mark Moore retires.

“Teri has a thorough knowledge and understanding of our history and an eagerness to increase the efficiency and health of the credit union,” Moore said.

Vanderpol started working with the credit union in 1993 as a bookkeeper, and has served as vice president of finance, vice president of human resources, and executive vice president, before becoming president/CFO in 2014.

During her tenure with Members 1st, Vanderpol has helped with complicated mergers, created numerous systems and procedures to measure the financial health of the credit union, and promoted employee education and professional development.

“I look forward to continuing the legacy we have built over the past 20 years,” Vanderpol said. “We will continue to initiate product development and leverage technology to best serve our members.”

A search for Vanderpol’s replacement is underway.

In addition to her role at Members 1st, Vanderpol serves on the Shasta College Business Advisory Board and the board and finance committee at Redding First Church of the Nazarene. She is a Leadership Redding alumnus (’92) and a graduate of Western Credit Union National Association Management School.

Vanderpol and her husband, Bob, have two children, Kimberly and Thomas.
