Mid-Atlantic corporate expands commitment to Children’s Miracle Network, encourages donations through the push of a button
MIDDLETOWN, PA (November 4, 2013) — Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMNH) is a favorite charity of credit unions and, like others in the movement, Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union staff has participated in a variety of activities to raise funds for the organization. Now, the Corporate is expanding its commitment with the addition of a “Donate Now” button to their website making it easy to contribute money directly to CMNH.
Also included are two videos, one of which tells the story of Sammy Hill, Mid-Atlantic Corporate’s Children’s Miracle Network ambassador. In 2008, Hill was critically injured by a falling tree branch and the video shows the care and encouragement she received from Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and CMNH.
The other video captures the amazing spirit of Sammy, along with her sister, Lexi, in a personal interview with Lori Gall, SVP, administration for Mid-Atlantic Corporate. “Anyone who’s ever had a child with serious health issues knows that care and treatment take effort from the whole family. Through our dedication to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Mid-Atlantic Corporate is helping to fulfill the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people,’” said Gall.
Throughout 2013, the Corporate’s staff has raised funds for CMNH by participation in the telethon, the Annual Chocolate Miracle Race, and an annual golf tournament. Total contributions to date amount to more than $67,000.
Any credit union or member of a credit union can contribute to CMNH by simply clicking on the button on Mid-Atlantic Corporate’s website – www.midatlanticcorp.org. The tax-deductible donation will support Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, the Corporate’s local CMNH, which treats more than 100,000 children each year.
