Mountain America Credit Union Adds Convenience to Mortgage Borrowing

WEST JORDAN, UT (May 8, 2013) Buying a home just got easier as Mountain America Credit Union’s electronic mortgage process now allows prospective homebuyers to apply for their mortgages online, uploading all key application documents such as paystubs and tax information via their own computers. Then at loan closing time, they can view and sign closing documents electronically from home using Mountain America’s Quick CloseSM.

“There’s no need to call or come into the branch to start your mortgage anymore,” said Amy Moser, vice president of mortgage services for Mountain America. “One click can put members on the path to home ownership. With paperless origination now combined with Quick Close, our members are saving more time than ever during the traditionally hectic home-buying experience. We have worked hard to provide a mortgage process that is quick, convenient, simple and secure.”

The Quick Close secure paperless mortgage process eliminates the typical stack of papers to be signed, as only one digital signature is required at the title office after the buyer has had the opportunity to review the documents electronically at home. At closing, only a handful of documents are printed, and the rest are securely stored for the buyer on a flash drive. Quick Close can also provide online access to documents after closing, if needed.
