WAYNESVILLE, NC (July 29, 2020) — Mountain Credit Union (MCU) has announced the recent promotion of Kristen Walker to Branch Manager of their Fletcher location at 3270 Hendersonville Road. Kristen has worked for MCU since November 2004, starting as a part-time Member Service Representative and has held almost every position within the branch during her 15+ years in Fletcher. Most recently, she was the Assistant Branch Manager, and her promotion became effective on July 24, 2020.
Kristen will continue to focus on ensuring members receive assistance in a friendly and timely fashion. “I look forward to bringing consistency and strength to my branch and continuing our growth within the Fletcher area and Henderson County,” she said. Her other duties will include coaching her staff, uncovering the financial needs of her community, and establishing and maintaining member relationships.
A Henderson County native, Kristen attended Blue Ridge Community College before working at MCU. She currently resides in Edneyville, NC, with her husband Juan and their two children. Kristen has participated in various community service projects on behalf of the credit union, including volunteering with several local organizations. Her promotion shows MCU’s commitment to having local branches with local people making local decisions.
