MSGCU Awards Rudolph Heino Scholarships to Local High School Seniors
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI (May 10, 2013) Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union (MSGCU) recently awarded its Rudolph Heino Scholarship to 12 local high schools seniors at a reception on May 9. This one-time $1,000 scholarship is bestowed to members based on academic performance, community involvement and embodiment of the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.”
“All of our applicants were exceptional students and the selection of our award recipients was no easy task,” said MSGCU President and CEO Peter Gates. “The 12 winners that were chosen are a truly extraordinary group and it is our honor to award these future leaders with the Rudolph Heino Scholarship.”

The scholarship is named for Rudolph Heino, a long-time MSGCU Board Member who strongly upheld the “people helping people” philosophy. The scholarship, like its namesake, is designed to help students who demonstrate an enthusiasm and commitment to learning and a clear, visionary path for their future.
The Rudolph Heino Scholarship is one of four scholarship programs offered by MSGCU and each year, the Credit Union awards more than $50,000 in scholarships to both high school students and adults.
