MSGCU to support small businesses for CU Lunch Local event

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI (October 10, 2013) — On Tuesday, October 15, Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union (MSGCU) is one of many credit unions across Michigan that will participate in the industry-wide event CU Lunch Local program. MSGCU branch staff and departments from all 11 offices in Macomb and Oakland Counties have pledged to dine out or order in from 18 local restaurants in support of this initiative.

“Supporting small businesses perfectly exemplifies the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people,’” said MSGCU President and CEO Peter Gates. “We are excited to head out into our communities and advocate the importance of buying local.”
