MSUFCU recruits Marie Charbonneau to Assistant Vice President of Branches

April Clobes, President/CEO of MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), is pleased to announce the hiring of Marie Charbonneau as Assistant Vice President of Branches. Ms. Charbonneau is supporting the MSUFCU team through the opening of its Traverse City Branch and membership growth in this new market. She also helps lead three other Credit Union branches, including two in Greater Lansing, and one in Grand Rapids.

In her role, Ms. Charbonneau assists in the development and delivery of Credit Union products and services, including those focused on retention, market differentiation, and technology. She provides leadership guidance to branch managers and assists with branch operations and employee development.

She earned an MBA, with a focus on strategic management, from Davenport University, and a bachelor’s of science degree from Lake Superior State University.

“Marie’s leadership supports our employees as they help our members achieve their goals and dreams,” said April Clobes, MSUFCU’s President/CEO. “She plays an integral role in our success and growth in Traverse City.”

In May 2020, MSUFCU opened its first northern Michigan branch located at 312 S. Union St. in Traverse City. It is the Credit Union’s 20th branch. MSUFCU hosted a groundbreaking for its second Traverse City branch at 3750 N. U.S. 31 S on June 30, 2020, which is set to open in 2021.
